BackYala Peak (5500m.)

Yala peak is located in the north of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang valley region of Nepal. This climbing peak is one of Nepalâ€™s easier climbing peaks and is often climbed along with its neighbour Naya Kanga. One does not require mountaineering experience to enjoy the adventure to Yala peak. From the summit of Yala Peak you get uninterrupted spectacular views of, Langtang Lirung, Lenpo Gang, Dorje Lakpa and the mighty Shishapangma, which is made up of three sister peaks quite similar in height with two pinnacles with their respective height of 8008m and 7970m sit 200m and 400m to the northwest of the main peak.

From Kathmandu we drive to Dhunche or Syabru Bensi, and then trek up the valley for three days. We explore the Langshisa glacier to help us acclimatise, establishing a Base camp at 4800 meters from where we make our summit bid. After an alpine start under stars we are on the summit by late morning, with some amazing views into Tibet and across to Shisapangma (the only 8000 meters peak situated wholly in Tibet).

Day 11	Base Camp to Langtang

Day 13	Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2200m)
Day 14	Thulo Syabru to Sing Gomba (3300m.)
